Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28 in 1967. She belongs to four generations of the Robertses to reside in the Atlanta region, beginning in the family of her grand-father John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. At an early age, her father became interested in theater. He acted on at the Emory University campus in 1952 and in other productions that were staged around Atlanta. After joining the airforce and appearing in an airforce production in Biloxi along with Betty Lou Bredemus. They got married in 1955. Their son, Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. Walter as well as his spouse were discharged from the Air Force in the year 1957 and enrolled Walter as a student at Tulane University. In 1960 the family moved to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working for Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of the local Sunday morning children's show, Bum Bum and His Buddies. In 1964 Walter and Betty Lou founded their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. It ran for six years. They were joined by Lelisa Billingsley (also known as Lisa) as well as Julia (also known as Julie) during this period.
