These include his sons Sage and Seargeoh (from his first marriage with actress Sasha Czack) and his daughters Sophia, 26 and Scarlet, 20 from his wedding to Jennifer Flavin . Sasha is interested in film directing, photography, acting and script-writing. She was a part of the film Love of Life, and she co-authored and directed Vic (a short film) together with Sage her oldest son. Sasha also wrote and directed a short drama film called Long Lost Love.

Award winning actress and actor Kellita Smith has recently returned to Chicago to host and be the narrator of WTTW's upcoming unique documentary DuSable to Obama: Chicagos Black Metropolis. Smith is known best for her performance in the Bernie Mac Show's Wanda McCullough. Born in Chicago and has been performing for more than 20 years. Smith was a regular on The Bernie Mac Show for seven seasons. She was also a part of UPN Malcolm & Eddie, CBS Nash Bridges, FOX Televisions Martin, FOX Televisions Martin, the WBs Jamie Foxx Show, Sister, Sister, and NYPD Blue. Recent movies include Roll Bounce, a Fox 2000 Film; King Ransom with New Line Cinema; Fox Searchlight Kingdom Come starring Whoopi Goldberg; Marimax The Crossing Guard featuring Jack Nicolson directed by Sean Penn and New Line Cinema House Party 3.
